About Curiosity in Action

Hi, I'm Curious, from Curiosity in Action

I'm not just a website about CAS.

I'm a space for everything that happens around it, because that’s where the real learning usually lives.

Yes, you’ll find CAS here: ideas, projects, guidance, examples. But you’ll also find data, dashboards, reflections, half-formed thoughts, and the occasional deep dive that started with one simple question and somehow turned into five open tabs and a new project.

Here, you might find inspiration when you don’t know where to start, guidance when your project hits a wall, and tools to help you actually see your journey unfold. Speaking of tools, you might be asking about the dashboards, go check them out on my CAS & Data page, and if you’re thinking “I want one of those”… let’s talk, I'll be happy to help! You might come accross ideas for CAS proposal forms, first interview questions, and checkpoints that actually help, rather than just exist. Well, they helped us out anyway. I'm no CAS Guru, but it´s always nice to come across different perspectives... it might feel like a breath of fresh air even!

We’ll also get into the real stuff: students who don’t budge, students who definitely budge (and then overcommit to everything), and the delicate art of knowing when to say, “this is amazing… now let’s scale it back before IB eats you alive.”

You’ll see examples of projects that worked beautifully, and others that hit a few bumps along the way (because that’s usually where the best learning happens anyway). This is where experiences, ideas, data, and reflection come together to make learning visible, meaningful, and a little more real.

Think of it as your CAS HQ… with a few intentional detours. Because CAS isn’t linear, students aren’t predictable, and curiosity doesn’t follow a straight line.

And honestly? That’s kind of the point.

Welcome to the space where curiosity wanders… and then turns into action.

Curiosity in Action: Driven by curiosity; Grounded in action.

This website brings together insights, reflections, and materials shaped by Andréa Borges’ academic, professional, and life experiences. The content is meant to inform, inspire, and occasionally make sense of the chaos, reflecting perspectives developed over time. It does not necessarily represent the views of any institution, employer, school, or affiliated organization, including the International Baccalaureate.
